Immigration and Visa in Australia
If you are planning to undertake a graduate program in Australia, you will need to acquire a temporary visa. This visa will allow you to study at an Australian institution and work for 20-40 hours whilst studying your graduate or post-graduate course.

In order to obtain your student visa, a visa charge has to be paid at your nearest Australian Embassy where the following things will have to be preserved:
  1. A completed Form 157A
  2. The confirmation letter from the university where you will be studying.
  3. Copies of Passport pages
  4. Evidence that you have overseas student health cover for as long as you will be in the country.
It is necessary to show that you have adequate study abroad travel insurance, which has to be bought before you travel.

Visas can be applied online via the Australia Government’s Department of Immigration and Citizenship website.
